March into Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society. This has been celebrated during the month of March since 1987.

Women’s History Month gives people the opportunity to research, write about, share stories, and raise awareness for women’s ongoing struggles in society. Even if you are not a woman you can support during the month.

“Listen to what woman are saying even if it doesn’t apply to you,” said senior Katie Stedman.

Listening to what people say gives everyone a better understanding of the topic, it can help enhance relationships. It also makes the talker feel more comfortable.

“Women have struggled in the past; and we continue to struggle,” Stedman said.

Women face gender inequality, gender backlash, lack of autonomy, and others asserting control over their reproductive health.

“Don’t just let it happen,” Stedman said.
