‘The Tortured Poets Department’ by Taylor Swift Adds to her Hits

So, who’s excited? On Sunday, Feb. 4 while accepting the Grammy for best pop vocal performance, her 13th Grammy ever, for her 10th studio album “Midnights” Taylor Swift excitingly announced her 11th studio album titled “The Tortured Poets Department,” that Swift states she’s been working on in secret for the past two years. I am so extremely excited for this album, the vibe from the track names and the album cover is giving off the same vibes from “Folklore” and “Evermore” which are personally some of my favorite albums.

The album is expected to release on Friday, April 19, and will have tracks featuring stars such as Post Malone and Florence and the Machine. These features are going to be so good, I’m so excited to hear how they come out.

The album will feature 16 new songs with titles like “The Tortured Poets Department,” “Florida!!! (Feat.  Florence and the Machine),” “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can),” “loml,” “Guilty as Sin?,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight (feat. Post Malone),” and “So Long, London.” As well as a bonus track called “The Manuscript.”

Swift has also released two alternative album covers that each come with a new bonus track, the first is called “The Bolter” and “The Albatross.” I’m a firm believer in the theory that there will be five album covers where the photos get darker and darker so that they go along with the five stages of grief.

There has been an AI generated version of “Fortnight (feat. Post Malone)” circulating on “TikTok” and it sounds so amazing, myself along with many others in comment sections and on “X” really hope that’s what the song actually sounds like because it’s truly just that good.

Swift is currently in the process of re-recording her first six albums and claiming them as her own after the masters to them were stolen from her. She calls these albums “(Taylor’s Version)’s,” this is her way of letting fans know that this is work that she owns. Swift has currently released “Fearless (Taylor’s Version),” “Red (Taylor’s Version),” “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” Fans, including myself, are anxiously awaiting the arrival of “Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version)” and “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” so that Swift can re-claim her name and her reputation.

“The Tortured Poets Department” is a brand-new album that has never been heard before by fans, this is the second brand new album Swift released during the process of re-recordings, the first being “Midnights” in 2022.

“Midnights” is one of my all-time favorite albums by Swift so I’m so excited for this new album during this re-recording era simply because it’s being written at about the same time of her life as “Midnights.”
