The final night of theater One Acts were stories created from junior and senior students.
They worked hard and created amazing stories. From coming up with what to create to casting actors/actresses to them directing students takes a lot. This also created memories.
This is the pamphlet created by a student that consist of the different plays in the show. The following acts are: “Jail Break” by Kayleb Kunkle, “Mirrorshire” by Stellah Meadows, “Wayward Brother” by Brynn Palette, and “Laser Focus” by Samuel Ham. The part two of this production started at 7 p.m. April 23.
Freshman actress Madilayna Boyer starred in tonight’s show as Cleff the Bard in the act “Moonshire,” an act about putting a hopeful spin on the director’s struggle with procrastination combined with fantasy. “Cleff was this bard who just loved music but was very afraid of people not liking her, which really hindered her performances,” Boyer said. Boyer said she had fun performing and saw herself in Cleff. She was also known for playing another role in part one of this One Act production in a show called “No Batch for Magic,” as a character named Jennifer.
In “Moonshire,” freshman Brooklyn Green played a role, Iris a Elf known for being an artist. Green described this character as shy, reserved, and daydreamy. “It was very calm, not like any other show I’d done before,” Green described what it was like leading up show time, to which she wasn’t nervous at all about.
In the next act, freshman Metban Aban played boy-mom Iris. “To sum it up, very, very boy soccer mom, but like in ancient Rome.” This act was “Wayward Brother,” which was set in ancient Rome surrounded by betrayal. It must’ve taken a lot of time for the actress, but she was able to adapt to it since she was in five different pieces. Aban said she found this really exciting since this was her first ever one act, and to learned how to play a mom role.
