Oak Park Womens Soccer

OP Soccer VS Liberty Soccer

On May 5, the OP womens soccer team took on the Liberty soccer team. They played a tough and long game, dealing with unhappy weather conditions as well as some injuries to starters on the team.

The final score ended as 0-2 with the Liberty Blue Jays taking down the Northmen in a hard fought game. After a couple of chances to score, Liberty’s defense was just too strong and led the Northmen to 0 goals.

This shows the OP womens soccer team’s stats from throughout the year.
Junior Audrey Packard sets up on the sideline for a pass to come to her. “It’s been a very fun but long season,” noting that she is ready to play summer soccer.
Both teams listen to the national anthem before gameplay. The Oakies averaged 0.9 goals per game but look to improve before the season comes to an end.
Sophomore Emmalyn Butler hits a header to pass the ball up the field to her teammate. She said, “I want to hopefully win a playoff game and keep our season alive.”
Junior Audrey Packard receives a pass from her teammate and makes a break for the goal. ” I feel like I’m really good at getting the ball to my teammates when they are open.” She’s a big team player.
The game’s starters get a pre game talk in to discuss the game plan and get everybody ready to play. The ladies have had many close games this season, but are hopeful on improving and closing out games.
