On Thursday, April 30, the Northmen’s JV girls soccer team went head to head with the St. Joseph Central Indians. The Northmen worked together as a team to take them on. The game was held at Oak Park High School’s Activity Complex. They played a hard game, and put in their all. The ending score ended up being a tie 1-1.
Freshman Pyper Hauser takes the ball down the field to shoot the ball in the goal at the game against St. Joseph Central on Thursday, April 30. She enjoys playing soccer because “the environment and all of the people, it’s like a community and it’s just a sport that I like to play,” she said.
Sophomore Khloe Koelzer looks for an open pass while playing in the Oak Park Northmen’s JV soccer game on Thursday, April 30. Koelzer said, “I have friends that are seniors this year and I’ve never talked to them until this year,” emphasizing the teams relationship with each other.

Freshman Honesti Watson plays defense for Oak Park High Schools JV soccer team. Watson said she likes being on this team because everyone very helpful and encouraging. She said she likes “My teammates, and I like the adrenaline it gives me.”
Junior Camilla Aguilar prepares to take a goal kick for Oak Park High School’s JV soccer team. She likes the communication between her and her teammates. “Don’t be scared of the ball because I used to be like that too,” Aguilar recommends for new players.
