Q&A by: Laura Wuthnow
Thespian Troupe 2758 is Oak Park’s division of the International Thespian Society, which honors high school theatre students. Troupe 2758 has new goals to start the year, so Northmen News caught up with Senior Board Member senior Emma Kitelinger to talk about the troupe’s plans.
Northmen News: What did you do at your meeting on Tuesday, September 4?
Senior Emma Kitlinger: We discussed the dock party and talked about paying dues.
NN: What other things do you have planned for this year?
EK: Next Thursday, September 13, we’re having a dock party during collaboration at Oak Grove Park. We are wanting to have a Halloween party—costumes and all, a Christmas caroling trip, valentines party and our thespian banquet where we induct the members and of course we’ll add stuff through the year.
NN: What are some goals this year for Thespians?
EK: Mostly meet more often and do more for school. We want to become and active participant in school activities and get our names out there.
NN: How do you plan to accomplish these goals?
EK: We plan to meet with Mr. Baldwin and figure what ways we can incorporate ourselves into school activities, such as concessions at games or a Relay For Life team.
