Happy Holidays from the Vocal Music Department
Holiday spirit came early for the school’s singers, on Tuesday, Dec. 8. Seven choirs performed an array of numbers, including the Oak Street Singers using pen lights to bring ‘The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ to life, and Treble FX honoring student Anna Bishop with a beautiful rendition of ‘Mary Did You Know?’
Continuing the tradition of inviting Oak Park alumni to perform Handel’s “Messiah,” many former students joined the A Cappella choir and OP Orchestra onstage to sing four choruses once again.
It was a great night, filling all those in attendance with holiday cheer!

![On Wednesday, Jan. 8, NKC Schools student Ryker Nakahodo begins to shovel his driveway by throwing it atop a pile. He did all this in the hope that shoveling snow would earn some money. He also didn't want to change into winter gear because wanted to get out there and do a quick job. “Because I don't want my Mom to slip and die in the car or Silva [our neighbor]," Nakahodo said.](https://northmennews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/nakahodonikolas_26090_25301658_IMG_3107-600x450.jpg)
