ART CLUB BEGINS The start of Art Club is right after the final bell of the day and takes place in art teacher TuWana Williams’ room. Students can relax and work on their individual projects, or they can start new ones with whatever activity Williams set up for the day.

FOCUSED. Senior Jimmy Cantrell focuses on the screen making any adjustments to beat and making sure the flow is smooth for the person in the booth to rap. On Thursday, Oct. 10, he started making this beat using the keyboard to come up with beat and flow to it. “When I am having trouble thinking of an idea for a song or a beat, I just mess around not trying to go for anything just see what I can make and try and build from it improving it little by little but what really helps is having at least one person hear to give me their input in making the beat,” Cantrell said.

Geometry studies for benchmark
On Friday, Oct. 18, sophomores Jaden Williams and Jesse Mayberry read in science teacher Kristin Price’s chemistry class. That day, students were asked to prepare their binders for the occasional binder check. Williams said, “One of my favorite parts of this class is definitely the binder checks like we did today. They help me to stay organized and keep my classwork in a safe place.”
