Film series: Scream
Producers: James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein
Directed by: Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin
This movie is great for viewers who love horror movies as well as people who might not. It is a perfect mix of a couple jump scares and some parts where they technically play mafia.
The movie is in a series where there is a killer who wears the Ghostface mask and attempts to murder a girl in a friend group. In the movie series there is typically a friend group, where among them is a killer and they must figure out who the killer is. The movie started with the attempted murder of the girl, played by Jenna Ortega, then her sister, played by Melissa Barrera, and friends would come to the hospital to see her. The girl’s friends knew that in the previous movies, which are called stab, the killer is always someone in the friend group, so they try to figure out who it was.
I liked this movie specifically because the directors and producers don’t show you who the killer is, so you also must figure it out while watching. The concept of the movie is not just horror but also murder mystery.
This movie is worthy of watching if you like murder mystery type horror movies, however there are also people who would love it cause of other genres they like, some being crime or thriller.
