Musicians Bryce Savage and Cameron Wales, the duo behind the music project NEFFEX, started making music because they wanted to create without pressure and to share their value with the world.
Wales and Savage met in high school when they were 15. They were in a punk rock band together. They immersed themselves in books and YouTube tutorials on production.
They wanted freedom to create: They wanted to do what they wanted, when they wanted, and how they wanted.
Share their value: They wanted to show the world what value they had to offer, and they were more excited to see new fans and listeners than to collect pennies on streams.
Experiment: They wanted to experiment with new things and be off the wall for some weeks.
I’d described their songs as aggressive, but ultimately a pop-oriented blend of hip hop, alternative rock and electronic dance music, EDM, due to the adult verbiage they use in their songs to get their point or opinion across.
The focus of their lyrics was sharing experiences and motivating people to chase after their dreams.
The song “Destiny ” by NEFFEX, was produced by Wales on March 28, 2017, and written by Savage and Wales. Savage sings each song. “Destiny ” is a song about animosity or strong hostility and normalcy, the condition of being normal; the state of being usual, typical, or expected. And what they’re saying is “screw what we’re told.”
NEFFEX’s most popular song being “Fight Back” with a total of 251.1k views. Coming in second is “Rumors” with a total of 160.9k views. “Destiny” came fourth with 141.8k views.
Their songs are about getting a point across in each one. “Fight Back” is about standing up for yourself and what you want to do in life, being able to fight back against the haters. Keep your head held high and keep going higher and higher to prove everyone wrong.
I believe these songs are very empowering when listening to them and I enjoy listening to them to get things done. There’s many times I’ve put their songs on to clean.
“I create music to motivate and inspire people to pursue their goals and take their lives into their own hands. I believe empowering creators is a big part of that, and that’s why I make my songs free to use and monetize in your content,” according to the NEFFEX website.
Getting into a live show can average around the $50 range. Prime spots will typically run upwards of $100 and VIP packages at festivals held at prominent venues can go for over $1,000.
As of 2021, the two members of the band decided to split up, with their last official work together being their 2020 album, “New Beginnings.” With producer Wales going his own direction, Savage continued on with the band, bringing back the beloved weekly and copyright-free releases in NEFFEX’s “NO TURNING BACK “ album.
Every song of NEFFEX is copyright-free, anyone can use their music like gaming, streams, videos, and more. NEFFEX releases a new song every Wednesday, covering a range of moods, vibes, and genres. Places you can listen for free are on Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, and Pandora.
