Off to the military before a graduation cap

Senior Aidan Dobson who is already in the military while still being in school.

Dobson went about his daily life as normal, but come summer time before his senior year, he decided it was already time to start.

“Why not, pretty much no point in waiting,” he said.

With his guardian being fully supportive of his path into the military he kept going through it.

After his basic training over the summer, he is in the National Guard, and still a senior in high school. He has his college now paid for, and all that’s left was to finish his last year of high school while still being in the guard.

“Both of its really easy,” he said.

He doesn’t worry about his school since he never struggled, but now he got to start doing what he wanted to do earlier than most. Now, with the benefit of being paid while he goes to school he just has to keep going and his path is already secured.

Military isn’t always what he wanted to do, but after a talk with someone, they assigned him a visit and from then he decided military was the path. His work in the military as part of the National Guard consists of mostly human resource related work. Once a month he does his job, then he is done till the next month.

Some people assume the military is not the best path and isn’t a good thing to do, but that just means it’s not the best path for them. Sometimes for others like Dobson, it is their path for what they want to do with their lives.
