Winter: Cold, dark, bitter. However, a warm sweet side of the winter is Headrush Roasters winter menu items!

I have tried a few of these winter wonderland type beverages, and I have some thoughts. 

First, the Christmas cookie latte. This drink served hot or iced is flavored with house-made brown sugar syrup and Biscoff cookie butter. This lovely winter treat is indulgent and yummy. I get it iced as an advocate of “no matter how cold it is, I will still be getting my latte iced.” The taste of spiced cookies is every cookie butter fan’s dream. My only “problem” with this drink is that since I personally order it iced, the cookie butter can be hard to mix causing some little cookie butter chunk surprises as you drink it. 

However this grievance is only the most tiny, as I personally am attributing it to the fact I order it iced, and thick syrups or mix-ins like cookie butter play nicer and dissolve better in a hot drink. 

The next beverage I have tried from this drop was the caramel brûlée latte. This drink includes caramel sauce and house-made crushed caramel shards on top, simulating the crunchy top of a creme brûlée. I love a caramel latte as much as the next guy, however this drink is just a touch too sweet for me personally.

This can easily be fixed by asking the super duper friendly barista to make the drink half sweetened. This way you still have the flavor, because they are super yummy drinks, but just a little less sweet for an everyday drink. 

I have been off my game and on a “new year, new me” buy less coffee kick so I haven’t tried some of the other drinks but trust me, they are on my radar. 

They also have a winter rush, which is their take on a peppermint mocha, with mocha sauce and peppermint syrup and topping.

For the chai lovers, they have a gingerbread chai for the season. This adds a delightful gingerbread spice flavor to the already yummy chai. 

Oh gosh! How could I forget to mention they still have their pumpkin bread and pumpkin cream cheese muffin, which I already gabbed about in my last Headrush review you all should check out (wink wink).
