Teaching one relationship at a time

English language arts teacher Kalie Jones is who some kids imagine as the perfect teacher. 

Jones always has a smile on her face. Jones has a good vibe and is always looking to have fun with her students. 

Kids look at Jones as the best teacher on the Business Leadership and Entrepreneurship pathway. 

Every day when students enter Jones’s classroom C142, they walk into a room with the lights off and the light from outside filling up the classroom. 

Jones always welcomes students at the door looking nice and neat and also carrying a warm presence everyone can feel. The Apple TV will have the directions of what students need to get settled down with in class and try to speed up the transitioning from class to class process as much as possible. 

As class goes on she will get things started with a short little talk asking about how everyone is. The class will next have a 10- minute silent reading. Jones often participates in these silent readings with her students. Jones is a teacher who likes to be very involved and engaged with each and every one of her students. Jones likes to have bonds with her students like friendships. 

Jones often has past students stopping by and saying “hi.” 

Jones looks to help out kids with any assignment of hers that they need help with and also loves having conversations with them. Jones will often be talking to a student rather than being on her computer or phone. Jones is also more than willing to help kids with any misunderstandings or problems they are having. 

Kalie Jones is a teacher who really loves her job and her students.
