BOE announced Smith as next Oak Park principal
On Tuesday, Feb. 15, the North Kansas City School board approved assistant principal Molly Smith as the next principal at Oak Park High School.
Congratulations were extended by students, staff and colleagues via social media this week.
Smith knew she wanted to be a principal since she was in high school. Smith has work in the North Kansas City School District for 15 years, eight of those as a math teacher and seven as an assistant principal. She is currently working on her doctorate.
“I very much believe in risk taking and empowering people to take risk,” Smith said of her leadership style.
