“They’re creepy and they’re kooky the Addams family *clap clap*”
The first Addams family movie was released in 1991, then two years later another Addams family movie came out.
In the original movie, it followed a family of four and when Fester, Gomez Addams’ missing brother, arrived the family was thrilled, but Morticia was suspicious and seeked to find the truth.
I liked the movie it was entertaining and it’s a good movie to watch. I never watched the tv series that aired in the 1960s, but I have been told there is a difference between the series and the movies.
I also enjoyed the sequel which added a new family member and a nanny who ended up being a psychopath after the Addams family and money.
Both movies had many similarities and the design, sound, and the actors were amazing making the movies even better. I personally loved both movies and I rewatch them frequently, so when I heard that there was a new Addams family being released I was excited, but was a little disappointed that the movie was not like the ones from the 90s.
It still followed the same family, but instead a lady was transforming the neighborhood to make it more livable to make money, but the day before her show aired the darkness on the top of the hill was released. The family lived on the top of the hill in a black house with a black cloud above the home which was devastating to the people who lived in the neighborhood and they were turned against the Addams family by Margaux Needler, a tv personality, who had one job and that was to sell the houses in the neighborhood and became rich.
The movie was funny, but was animated, making it an acceptable movie for little kids to watch. In the theater, throughout the movie all of the kids seemed to enjoy it but I could hear some adults whisper throughout the movie and even after that it was not how they expected, they wanted the movie to be like the ones in the 90s, but it was not the case.
Overall, the new Addams family is a good movie to watch with the family but is not better than the ones from the 90s.
