          Junior James Mueller is featured in Eden Duncan’s one act, “The Day Before Saturday.” As a new actor, he was unsure about theater and had worries going into it, but he found himself more confident after trying one acts. “I think that beforehand I couldn’t see myself doing anything theater related, and now I kind of can. I think it can be fun now.”

          A protest about LGBTQ+ ,women's and political rights. happened on International Women’s Day Saturday, March 8 at Mill Creek Park, near the Plaza in downtown Kansas City.

          On Wednesday, Jan. 8, NKC Schools student Ryker Nakahodo begins to shovel his driveway by throwing it atop a pile. He did all this in the hope that shoveling snow would earn some money. He also didn't want to change into winter gear because wanted to get out there and do a quick job. “Because I don't want my Mom to slip and die in the car or Silva [our neighbor]," Nakahodo said.

          Students dive into history with “Salt to the Sea.” Alik, a member of the freshmen book club, shared, “this book really makes you feel the weight of history and the power of survival stories.” The club meets weekly to discuss themes of resilience and humanity in literature.
