It’s time. It’s May.
It’s the smartest of times; it’s the dumbest of times.
It is the time for reason; it is the time for irrational choices.
It’s the time to cram makeup work; it’s the time to take the loss and move on.
It is the time for friends; is is the time for yourself.
It’s May. It’s the end: end of a school year.
For everyone who is not a senior, you’re probably spending your days studying for finals, taking finals, worrying about finals (or not), and making summer plans. What a time to be alive.
So I would like to take a moment to remind everyone to stop and smell and the flowers. We teenagers spend all our time counting down to the next big event in our lives: Seniors- graduation, Juniors- prom, sophomores- drivers license, freshman- when they are not freshman. Do we ever really stop and enjoy the moment?
Sure, we may hate school half the time, but this is a time in our life when we should be enjoying every moment. We have yet to face true responsibility: paying bills, owning a house, and buying our own food is something most of us have not yet had to deal with. These four years should be lived to the fullest, enjoying every day like it’s your last. So every now and then, take a moment and stop and smell flowers.
