The Science Olympiad Team competed in the Regional Science Knowledge Bowl this past Saturday. This event was sponsored nationally by the U.S. Department of Energy and locally by Honeywell. It was hosted by Avila University.

The Science Olympiad team got to meet Honeywell employees and converse with them about exactly what they do as well as what degree options it took to get them there. They had a great, fun, competitive day and represented Oak Park well.

They bested some great teams, including Fort Zumwalt South and Pembroke Hill. The team fell short of placing in the top 8 from Missouri, but still had an enjoyable day.  Congratulate Solomon Whitaker, Anne Hughes, Tyler Mason, Alan Scalzi, Sammantha Thomas, Emily Hildebrand, Hannah Frazier, Kylelynn Gallagher and Amira Nuur.
