If you are a person that gets scared very easily, but wants to get into horror films, this movie is perfect for you.

The forest is about a girl (Sara) who goes to Japan to find her twin sister that was lost in “The Forest.” Now, this forest is an actual forest named Aokigahara, a forest of which people go to commit suicide. I

n the movie, they show that’s it’s easy to get lost, and when you are lost, you get paranoid. While Sara is on this mission to find her sister, she goes through a world of paranoia, seeing people, seeing the past and more.

Personal Review:

Personally, I didn’t enjoy this movie. I am a big fan of horror/thriller films, and this just didn’t seem like a “scary” movie.

There were more plot twists rather than jump scares which sucked. I didn’t feel any suspense/fear while watching this movie. Although, it did have a good plotline, and the actors weren’t bad.

I give it 3/5 stars.
