I have never seen so much excitement from young kids as I did during the Homecoming Parade. They had been standing outside, waiting for the parade to start, even before I had gone up to Clardy Elementary to see them.

They cheered, hollered, even screamed for the Oak Park students to come down the streets on their floats.

Mazen Salam, first grader at Meadowbrook Elementary School, had some reasons for his excitement for Oak Park, “I want to play sports when I go to Oak Park,” Mazen says, “I want to play football and basketball because I want to win.”
The Future Oakies have so much pride and passion for us at Oak Park.
