For the last couple of weeks American Sniper has been a box office success and is even being nominated for six different Oscar awards. United States Navy Seal Chris Kyle served four tours of duty in Iraq and was named one of the most lethal snipers in American history. American Sniper gives viewers a glimpse into what life in Iraq is like and also shows the dramatic effects that war can do to a human’s brain. Use caution however, before you decide to go see this movie. This movie can very disturbing especially if you find yourself unable to watch war movies as there are many disturbing scenes in American Sniper. Bradley Cooper’s performance as Chris Kyle is exceptional as he really portrays the posttraumatic stress that the war in Iraq took on him and many other Americans. His performance was so good that he was nominated for best actor at the upcoming Oscars. Plain and simple American Sniper is a great movie that I recommend everyone to go see.
