Observations on high school
Recently in my sociology class with social studies teacher Seth DeRose, we did an experiment where we observed every grade level and see how each grade is different. And here are some observations I have made.
Freshmen: Not used to being the youngest in the class due to the fact that they were oldest back in middle school. Poor language choices, cuss a lot. Trying to figure out what they are. Stressed with how much homework high school gives.
Sophomores: Glad they aren’t freshmen anymore. Have matured since they were freshmen. They tend to be afraid of the seniors. Hormones running like crazy.
Juniors: No longer underclassmen, want more respect. The most stressful year. Figuring out what they want to be. Less cussing, better word choices. More mature, but still act like freshmen at times.
Seniors: Oh my lovely seniors. This is the year that we try to figure out where we are going for college, bunch of counseling talks, bunch of college visits. Trying to finish up all the credits we need. Stressed, but yet relaxed knowing it’s the last year. Senoritis is real. Hard to come to school. Done with everybody and just want to finish up the year already. All the teachers like the seniors.
