As school is starting to come to an end, all the seniors seem to be talking about is, when is senior skip day? There have been different views on the “annual” senior skip day. I have heard people think it is stupid because they see there to be no point in skipping one day when the seniors get out about three weeks earlier than the rest of the school. Others feel as if they deserve a break and see it only as fair to participate in senior skip day because the seniors now have waited for their turn to have a senior skip day. Parents on the other hand, don’t feel their child should skip school, but parents know they did something like that back in the day, so they understand when their child comes begging to be called out of school.
Now what the seniors do on their skip day is interesting. The past couple of years most seniors have gotten together on their skip day and go tailgate at the Kansas City Royals game. I know that is the plan this year, but those plans have not been set. So in other words senior skip day is sort of predictable, and always set for a certain day. This year it was April 4th.
