Mud Pie Bakery is the only vegan bakery in Kansas City. That may not sound all that impressive to some, but once you try what they have to offer you will understand just how good they are.

There is a certain hipster tone ambiance of exclusivity to this unique coffee shop and bakery. It has different levels to sit at, each with its own vibrancy.
The first level is somewhat rowdy with rooms branching off of the kitchen to the left and right.

Then up the stairs is a quiet room with books and games in the corner. For those that have kids there is an entertainment room especially for them, this place is perfect for all.

Everyday there is something different to order today I go with a coffee drink and a blueberry muffin. Although everything is vegan, the taste is not compromised.

The muffin is delectable and has a slight lemon after taste. The top of the muffin (the best part) is covered in a succulent cinnamon sugar dusting. The mocha is frothy and has a hint of spice to it. The coffee beans are fresh from a local place called Oddly Correct and all the baked goods are made on sight.

Located at 1615 W 39th St, Kansas City, MO 64111, Mud Pie Bakery is the place to be, for vegans and anybody that likes health food or a special treat to the eyes and the stomach alike.
