Royals: destined to repeat past performance
Sports Opinion by: Darrin Head
After a disappointing 2011-2012 baseball season, going 72-90 in the regular season not moving to the MLB Postseason, the Kansas City Royals looked to step it up and become a franchise that could be known as a winning team.
In improving their roster, the Kansas City Royals sign new pitchers: James Shields, Wade Davis, Erving Santana, and Jeremy Guthrie. This young pitching crew was projected to bring the Royals back to a winning season along with many new additions to the team.
The Royals were looking the same before the All Star break, but after is when they really turned it on. After the All Star break the Royals boomed winning 19 of their 24 games.
Although the Royals looked good after the All Star break, their chances for making the postseason have became slim to not going at all. After doing the math and looking at the stats, there is no possible way for the Royals to get into the Playoffs for the MLB 2013 Postseason.
