As the lights dim, millions of eyes find their way to the grand stage. There, companies like Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft each present their life’s work for their devoted fans. This year, E3 became a beacon for new technology and for new, glorious ideas.
The E3 Expo is a gaming convention designed to inform gamers of games and systems to come as well as allow players to try out the new ideas. Many companies presented all sorts of new games and idea, but of all the companies that presented, Nintendo’s 3DS left fans astonished.
“Nintendo’s been researching 3-D games for over 20 years.” Shigeru Miyamoto, the president of Nintendo, said in an interview with Joystiq. “We’ll see remakes that take advantage of the 3-D, but we’ll also work on new ideas as well.”
However, not only Nintendo created excitement among fans at the Expo. Sony and Microsoft, two equally big gaming companies, revealed upcoming games and features. To read more about the E3 Expo, be sure to pick up the August issue of The Log at Oak Park High School.
