Sadie candidates share answers

This year, there are seven candidates up for the chance to win Sadie’s king.

How does it feel to be up? And who are your banner holders/escorts?

“It’s an honor to be u;p and it’s just a fun experience as a whole, I am being escorted by Miriam Solorio and my banner holders are Kevin Orange and Jakob Wright.” – senior Ochai Agbaji said

“Super cool. It’s really exciting, my escort is my little sister Sophia and I am being escorted by Seth Madsen and Mason Justin Nance.” – senior Richie Sander said

“It feels good knowing people wanted you to be up and the experience is cool. My escort is Sydney Bardwell and my banner holders are Antonio Fabac and Mason Cassity.” – senior Joey Fabac said

“It’s a great feeling, super happy to be up. I am being escorted by Alex Gautieri and my banner holders are Dawson Oxford and Zack Bergman.” – senior Karson Bennett said

What is your favorite memory from Oak Park?

“Being able to be apart of successful programs throughout.” – Agbaji said

“Red for Rich Night my sophomore year.” – Sander said

“Being able to lead a great group of people, being up with my friends is also great, I wish all of them could win.” – Fabac said

“Being a part of great teams plus cheering in the fan section.” – Bennett said

If you won how would you celebrate?

“I don’t really know, I would just go home and eat some Velveeta.” – Agbaji said

“I would go to Canes.” – Sander said

“I would hug my mom.” – Fabac said

Sadie’s is held on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 7 to 10 p.m. and the festivities have begun this week finishing with an assembly Friday, Feb. 2, where all of the kings will have their walkouts.
