On Sunday, Sept. 12, the 62nd annual Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles. There were a total of 26 categories that included best acting, writing, music and so on for specific genre.
The winner of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series was Jim Parsons for his role in ‘Big Bang Theory’. The lead actress in a comedy series was Edie Falco in ‘Nurse Jackie.’ The winner of the Outstanding Comedy Series was ‘Modern Family.’
In drama, the winner of lead actor was Bryan Cranston in ‘Breaking Bad’ and the lead actress was Kyra Sedgwick in ‘The Closer.’ The Outstanding Drama Series was awarded to AMC’s ‘Mad Men.’
The winner for best miniseries was ‘The Pacific’ and the outstanding actor for a miniseries or movie was Al Pacino in ‘You Don’t Know Jack.’ The Outstanding Actress for a miniseries of movie was Claire Danes for her role in HBO’s ‘Temple Grandin,’ which won the ‘Made for Television’ Emmy.
The best Reality-Competition series was ‘Top Chef’ and ‘The Daily Show with John Stewert’ won Outstanding Variety, Music, or Comedy. There are many other categories and winners, so be sure to look them up or even watch videos.
