Anime Club May Have “Your People”

lAre you interested in anime? Do you feel like you want to join your type of people? How about joining the Anime Club? Just go to room C295 and talk to the club advisor James Dye.

“Anime is just a Japanese show that is animated,” said junior Yasin Abdelhameed.

Abdelhameed started to watch anime at around 4 years old. He grew up watching Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. To him anime “is just a show. It has a wide range of enjoyment.”

“I like the people. They generally enjoy the shows I show,” but I “also dislike the people. They can be noisy sometimes,” Abdelhameed said.

“In the club you watch, draw anime,” sophomore Mal Berry said. “You have freedom to watch pretty much any anime besides like the mature shows like Tokyo ghoul or other that are not appropriate in the club. The series that we are watching in the club right now is Booboo Bo-bobo, and Kuroko no Basket.”

To Abdelhameed, anime changed him. It got him into the Anime Club. The club is fun; and Abdelhameed recommends others to join.

“I have fun in the club it’s worth it,” said  Berry. “My buddy Taylor Morris told me about the anime club and I decide to come to this club because of him. I like the anime club it very chill out and you can be yourself in the club.”

Abdelhameed wants to share the enjoyment of anime.

“Yes, this club is about gaming also,” Berry said. “We have every other week that club does gaming. Video games we will might start playing is J-stars. In the future of this club that it might be a rumor but, there might be gaming console in our club because we are a gaming club.”

If you ever want to join this club come every Tuesday. It alternates between gaming and anime each week.

“You can be bringing drinks and snacks or drink if you want,” Berry said. “There about 20 people in the club. I hope others can join the club.”
