  2. What was some of the most memorable parts when you were at state?
  3. How prepared did you feel when you were getting ready for state with the routine?
  4. How did you think we did compared to other guards in our round?

Sophomore Alix Chronister

  1. I felt good.
  2. I liked getting ice cream and hanging out with my friends.
  3. I felt really prepared, and I think we did really good because even though we got ninth we scored higher than people in other divisions which is cool.
  4. In our round I was worried because a lot of them were higher ranked than us but over all we did good

Junior Emma Leeds

1: I felt really good, I wasn’t nervous during the performance like I had been at the previous competitions. I felt that our performance at state was one of the best run through a of the show we had done.

2: most memorable parts of state; team bonding at the hotel Friday night-from swimming to powerpacks. Being together as a team for one last competition, being crazy together and having fun doing what I love to do and sharing it with my lovely team!!

3: after our last practice and exhibition performance Thursday, I felt really confident with the routine with the exception of the few moves we had changed that week.

4: well I didn’t get to see the 3 guards that went before us or the 2 after us but the other 6 had a fairly high vocabulary for their equipment work but it wasn’t executed as well as it could have been. From my viewpoint though, it doesn’t matter how the other teams did or even what place we got(though placing top 3 would have been nice) it’s seeing improvements in your own team’s scores and knowing that you did the best you could do that matters.
